The Liver Tumors Research Consortium (LTRC)

The Liver Tumors Research Consortium (LTRC) is a collaboration dedicated to systematically collecting data on pediatric patients with liver tumors and stimulating research initiatives to better understand disease biology and pathophysiology and innovate novel therapies.

Our Goals
  1. To establish and maintain a registry and repository for two target populations: Relapsed/Refractory Hepatoblastoma at CCHMC and Pediatric Hepatocellular Carcinoma at DFCI. The registries will aim to collect patient and tumor-specific data and samples including but not limited to patient demographics, medical records, scans, blood, urine, tumor, etc.
  2. To advance pre-clinical investigation using available biological materials collected as part of the registries, either via tumor specific investigation, liquid diagnostics, or tumor model development and drug testing.
  3. To advance clinical knowledge relevant to pediatric liver cancers not otherwise possible through national/international cooperative group mechanisms – this may take the form of retrospective data inquiries or prospective pilot investigations
